Background and Objective: Considering the students' physical, mental and social health status will provide the necessary context to achieve healthy life in community for next years. This study aimed to compare various dimensions of social well- being in medical and paramedical students of Guilan University in 2015. Methods: This study conducted on 489 students with stratified and random sampling method by The Keyes social well -being questionnaire. The internal reliability and validity were confirmed in different studies. Data analysis was performed with descriptive and analytical statistics by using SPSS software ver. 16. Results: The findings in relation to the different dimensions of social well- being showed that the highest mean scores in both medical and paramedical students were, respectively related to “social integration” and “social actualization” then and the lowest average scores were related to “social coherence”. Despite the observed differences, findings revealed that apart from the “social contribution” dimension between medical and paramedical students; there is no significant difference in other dimensions (P˃0.05). Conclusion: The results of this study can be considered by managers to provide the necessary planning and the required arrangements improve the social health of students, especially in the dimensions that have had the lowest average score.
